As a church school, our daily act of collective worship is an important element of what we do at All Saints. Each half term we focus on one of our Christian values: Community, Hope, Joy, Wisdom, Dignity and Peace. Through reflecting on these values, the children are encouraged to make links between the Christian faith and their own lives. We also incorporate aspects of British Values and PSHE (personal, social and health education) to complement our value and enhance our provision.
Worship is led by different members of our community, including church leaders, our headteacher, teachers and even the children themselves! One of the key leadership roles in our school is that of Worship Squad. This is made up of children from Y1-Y6, who take a lead role in worship and also work towards developing spirituality in our school.
Please find our collective worship plans below:
At All Saints, spirituality is not solely about religion, but rather a focus on personal growth, reflection, and connection with oneself, others, and the world. It is about developing a sense of wonder, awe, and curiosity, and exploring big questions about life and meaning.
Here are some ways that we aim to nurture spirituality at our school:
- Creating a safe space for reflection: We provide opportunities for our children to pause, reflect, and contemplate their experiences, thoughts, and feelings. This might involve mindfulness exercises, journaling, or quiet contemplation spaces.
- Encouraging curiosity and wonder: Our staff encourage children to ask questions, explore different perspectives, and appreciate the beauty and complexity of the world around them.
- Promoting connection and empathy: We help our children to develop strong relationships with their peers and the wider community, fostering empathy, compassion, and a sense of belonging.
- Exploring values and ethics: We encourage our children to think about their own values and how they want to live their lives, considering ethical dilemmas and the impact of their actions on others.
- Appreciating diversity and different perspectives: We celebrate the richness of human experience by exposing our children to different cultures, beliefs, and worldviews, promoting understanding and respect for diversity.
Overall, we believe in nurturing the whole child – their intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being – helping them to develop into thoughtful, compassionate, and engaged individuals.

Courageous advocacy is when someone champions a cause which is special and meaningful to them.
At All Saints CE Primary School & Nursery, we have a clear focus on providing our children with opportunities to become courageous advocates, not just locally, but nationally and internationally.
We will all face challenges in our lives and need the support of others to overcome these barriers. At our school we teach our children the importance of helping others when we can no matter who they are, where they come from or what challenges they may face. Through our vision, underpinned by the parable of ‘The Prodigal Son, children encouraged to live out the sense of joy that can be found when others are helped and treated with dignity.
“He was lost and has been found.” Luke 15: 31-32
We support a range of charities in our local area, nationally and globally. The school council work hard for the school to identify worthy causes to support, with the help of staff, parents, governors, and our local church.

Delivering our Harvest to the Food Bank
Prayer is a daily part of school life - we believe in the importance of prayer and a continued dialogue with God. Pupils are asked to spend time writing prayers for the collective worship sessions that they lead; we also have our own school prayer:
Bless our school
That by working together
And playing together
And praying together
We may learn to serve you
And serve one another
Amen.
In the school grounds we will be developing our spiritual areas, which we hope will be a place for all members of the school community to come and reflect and pray.
At All Saints we have a weekly newsletter for parents and carers, which includes a children’s activity sheet for our families to reflect on at home if they wish. We also offer a 'Thrive sheet'. which is full of ideas to help everyone to go with God throughout the week.
These activities include:
- Bible stories
- Puzzles
- Colouring sheets
- Prayer ideas
